The ingredients: Here we go..... Asiago cheese, that's it.

What makes this cheese crisp recipe the best
Big, Bold Flavor:
Asiago cheese has a sharper, nuttier flavor than cheddar or Parmesan, which gives these crisps a rich, savory bite that truly stands out. However it is not overly pungent or strong tasting. Just gives you a good amount of flavor.
Perfectly Crispy Every Time:
With just the right bake time and technique, these crisps come out golden and crunchy — not greasy, chewy, or overcooked. They are also more delicate tasting then if you were using Parmesan. Now don't get me wrong Parmesan crisps are great as well, more details below.
No Fillers, Just Cheese:
Made with 100% real Asiago and optional seasonings (like garlic powder or chili flakes), these crisps are naturally low-carb and gluten-free. Yes, you can buy processes cheese crisps from your local grocery store but they can be filled with other "fluff" ingredients and preservatives.
Fast and Foolproof:
All you need is shredded cheese and a baking sheet. They're ready in under 15 minutes and practically impossible to mess up. These are so simple!
Versatile & Snack-Ready:
Serve them as crackers with dips, crumble them onto soups and salads, or pack them for an on-the-go snack that doesn’t compromise on flavor.

See how light and crisp these look? The Asiago cheese when shredded using the Microplane greater creates and even more delicate texture that is great when included in a fresh salad. Check out some of our favorite salads. When using a regular box grater it creates a more sturdy crisp that is great for dipping in your favorite dip.
Super simple recipe
This recipe is truly one of the simplest. It only has one ingredient and needs minimal equipment to prepare.
Here’s the basics on how they come together:
- Grate the Asiago Cheese: You can find your favorite brand of Asiago Cheese at the grocery store and grate using a Microplane hand grader or box grader. (If your short on time you can sometimes find pre-grated cheese.
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Place grated cheese on baking mat / sheet: Pile mound of cheese on baking mat and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let Cool: Let the hot cheese cool for a few minutes, you can also bend the cheese if you want. Just place hot cheese crisp over a rolling pin or spoon and as it cools it will create a curve or bend that is fun and elegant for salad toppers.
- Enjoy: Eat and enjoy. The first batch goes quickly, at least in our house.
Questions and answers
Do I have to use Asiago Cheese?
No, You can use Parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, really any hard cheese will work. I have found that the Parmesan cheese creates the strongest crisp.
They look soft while cooking in the oven, will they get hard and crisp?
The crisps will be soft while cooking they will look greasy and you may think its not working. Give it time, pull them out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes and they will firm up.
They crumble what is going on?
Sometimes they crumble which might be what you want if you are using these Asiago Crisps for salad toppers. But most of the time this happens when there was not enough cheese. Pile the cheese a little higher so that when it melts it will create more "structure" to the crisp.
What do I use these cheese crisps for?
One can use these for dipping in your favorite dips. If you are on KETO and crave some crunch they can be eaten like crackers or you can use these to top your salads and provide crunch to any dish. You could even use these to provide a little crunch on top of your favorite macaroni and cheese recipes. Our family can't stop eating these with a Smoked Spinach Artichoke Dip
